I have read many books and articles on tithing, but I have never read one like The Power of Tithing. It explains the concept of tithing to the layperson in a way that I have never seen before. There is no other book on the market that addresses this subject so thoroughly and convincing as this one. I highly recommend this book to individuals who want to learn more about the blessings of tithing and to churches that want to convert their congregations into tithers.
Rev. Morris McDonald, Albuquerque, New Mexico
The Power of Tithing was introduced to me by a layman who being so moved and convicted by the author that he recommended it to me as a most informative book on tithing. After careful reading and discernment, we at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church offered it to our members with immediate, continuous and positive results. I highly recommend this book to pastors and churches that want to convert their churches into cheerful tithers.
Pastor David Cooper, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Albuquerque, Mexico
Dr. Smith, I read your book on tithing and was elated. It truly helped me to understand why I should tithe. My pastor has preached numerous sermons on tithing, but he has never explained it the way you have. I always thought that tithing was for the church and the pastor. I did not know the tither is the greatest benefactor of tithing until I read your book. Now I am a cheerful tither, because I have received numerous blessings since I started tithing on a regular basis. Thanks.
Lisa Griffin, Chicago, Ill. Dr. Smith, I have heard many sermons preached on tithing and read a lot of literature on the topic, but I have not read a book that explains tithing way that you have. It surely helped me to understand why middle-class families are experiencing a lot of financial problems. Your book has convinced me to become a regular tither. I will recommend it to my friends.

From the Author
I have attended church all my life, and I have observed ministers and church leaders struggling over the proposition as to how to turn their grudgingly giving congregations into cheerful tithers. No where have I heard any minister taught tithing from the perspective that the individual is the greatest benefactor. I found this point of view so compelling until I decided to write this book for other laypersons can learn the benefit of tithing.
